CELEBRATING Friday, April 24th, All Day!

At Wekiva Island, every day is Earth Day, but on Friday, April 24, we’re making it extra special! Join us for our annual Earth Day Celebration at Wekiva Island, a day dedicated to sustainability, conservation, and appreciation of our beautiful planet.

This year’s theme is community. We are focused on highlighting and partnering with the individuals and organizations doing meaningful work to protect and strengthen our local environment and beyond.

Whether you’re passionate about protecting our waterways, interested in environmental education, or simply looking for a fun and meaningful day outdoors, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy paddling on the river, hands-on activities, local art, and opportunities to learn how sustainable living can be part of everyday life.
