Calling all Eggheads, enthusiasts and eaters! Central Florida Fall EggFest is back and ready to serve up the best that Big Green Egg grills can offer.

The annual event allows Big Green Egg enthusiasts to show off their skills while attendees enjoy cooking demos, discounted products and of course, plenty of delicious samples. This year’s fest will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Wekiva Island, 1014 Miami Springs Dr., Longwood.
“The Big Green Egg is the best ceramic charcoal grill out there, and it’s gained a loyal following because of that,” said Pete Weller, EggFest organizer. “This event celebrates Egg culture in a way that’s fun for all of Central Florida.”
The event, while not a competition, allows cooks to show off their passion. Cooks will whip up 100-150 samples of everything from slow-cooked barbecue to baked goods, showing off the grill’s versatility. Then, tasters everywhere can rejoice as they sample a variety of bites.
Guests can purchase taster tickets for $25 in advance or $35 at the door. Children under 10 accompanied by an adult are free. There will also be specific cooking demos from Dr. BBQ, Orlando Meats and Alex Woda and live music by Jason Alan and John Varr.
Those looking for a great holiday gift this year or those who fall in love with the grills at the event can also get a deal. The demo eggs used during EggFest are being sold at a discount by Travel Country Outfitters and can be picked up after the event.
Sponsors for the event are Travel Country Outfitters, Rhineland Cutlery, Sierra Nevada Brewery and Orlando Meats.
EggFest will once again take place at Wekiva Island, Seminole County’s premier natural attraction. Proceeds from the event benefit Keep Seminole Beautiful to support continued efforts to keep the community clean.
