SUMMARY:Wekiva Plays: Kids Pollinator Feeder Activity
DESCRIPTION:Bring the kids for a hands-on activity hosted by Idea Bar\, where they’ll create pollinator sugar water feeders to support local wildlife. The team will be onsite all day sharing and promoting upcoming kids’ activities. Drop in anytime! \n\n🎟️ Ticket Details: Free\, please RSVP in advance\n🤝🏼 Community Partner: Idea Bar\n\n\nEvent Description \nBring the kids to Wekiva Island for a free fun\, hands-on Earth Day kids activity designed to inspire creativity and environmental awareness. Hosted in partnership with Idea Bar\, Wekiva Plays: Kids Pollinator Feeder Activity invites young guests to create their own pollinator sugar water feeders to support local wildlife. \nThis interactive\, family-friendly experience teaches children about the importance of pollinators like bees\, and how small actions can make a big impact on the environment. Kids will build and decorate their own feeder to take home—helping support pollinators in their own backyard. \nThis is a drop-in activity available throughout the day\, making it easy for families to participate at their own pace while enjoying all that Wekiva Island’s Earth Day celebration has to offer. The Idea Bar team will also be onsite sharing information about upcoming kids’ programs and creative workshops. \nPerfect for families looking for things to do with kids near Orlando\, this engaging activity blends creativity\, education\, and sustainability in a relaxed\, riverfront setting. \n\nMeet the Community Partner\n \nTLC & Idea Bar are founded on the same principle~ student-driven learning guided by empathetic instructors. The teams have been deliberately curated to accommodate the needs of a diverse set of learners. Simply put: In response to the needs of our students\, we have created a nugget of organically grown services; self-advocacy and executive functioning are critical life skills incorporated into our lessons. Collectively\, we believe that we are here to encourage learners to find their niche through the weaving of core curriculum goals within the sphere of a child’s innate curiosity~ inspiring our learners to attain their goals. TLC recognized the need for more support for the homeschool community\, and our sister company\, Idea Bar was formed in response to community request. Quality of instruction is tantamount\, and we cherish and respect the students and families that we serve. \n  \n\nThis event is a part of our annual Earth Day celebration.
