Not up for the paddling? You can still enjoy a day on the water. There are a variety of ways to take a boat ride around Orlando. Join the queue in Winter Park for the historic Scenic Boat Tour and explore some famous homes from the water and canals. Or speed things up and jump on an airboat! There are several places to do that in the region. There’s even a new boat tour launching at Wekiva Island so you can get the same feeling of exploring the Wekiva River. What’s better than a leisurely stroll along a shaded boardwalk? Adding in the sights of exotic animals and unique native plants! The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens offers just that—an ideal place for an afternoon walk with the family. As you explore, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter endangered species and wander through the lush gardens. A stop at the splash pad or playground will enhance the experience for the kids. Nona Adventure Park in Lake Nona offers a variety of obstacles. Bring some close-toed shoes and reach new heights on the climbing tower. Whether you’re a beginner or a climbing pro, the tower has all sorts of challenges for all abilities. If you want an aquatic challenge, stroll over to the aqua park and race your friends through over 1000’ of obstacles.
