Gallery CERO’s exhibition, An American Tapestry, is an immersive and multi-layered celebration of America’s 250th anniversary through art, history, culture, and community storytelling. Blending large-scale installation art, regional history, historical exhibits, and contemporary works, the show invites guests to explore the many threads that shape the American experience across generations.
At the center of the exhibition is a large immersive installation by artist and set designer Janas Smith Durkee. Inspired by classic Americana and 1950s aesthetics, the interactive piece transforms part of the gallery into an experiential environment where visitors can sit, engage, and become part of the artwork itself.
The exhibition also features Wekiva history displays, themed paintings and installations, historical imagery, and storytelling elements curated throughout the gallery — all reflecting on America’s evolving identity and the stories that connect local history to the broader American narrative.
As you move through the exhibition, we invite you to discover the people, places, and moments woven together in this American tapestry and to reflect on the stories that continue to shape our shared future.
This exhibition will be running from our grand opening on July 2 until September 19th. The gallery is open Friday and Saturday from 12-7 PM and Sunday from 12-5 PM.
