Matt Burke is a central-Florida based singer/songwriter whose soulful mix of rock, folk, Americana, and funk has drawn comparisons to Jim Croce, Tom Petty, and Ryan Adams. Burke initially honed his skills playing coffee shops, bars, and clubs in central-Florida before moving to Chicago in 2008 to pursue a career in music. While actively involved in the Chicago music scene, Burke developed as a singer, songwriter, and performer, playing many well-known venues including the Chicago Hard Rock, Navy Pier, and the Foundation Room at the Chicago House of Blues.
The Matt Burke Band was established in 2010 with the release of “Pretty Close to Very Good” – Burke’s debut album. In 2014, Burke moved from Chicago back to Florida to focus on further developing a growing fanbase there. The Matt Burke Band’s most recent release – The MBB EP – was released in January 2018 and is available on all major outlets.
Currently, Burke is writing material for his upcoming solo album and will head into the studio in early 2019 to begin recording.
