Escape to the North Pole at Wekiva’s Holiday Pop-Up Cabana

This holiday season, we’re turning up the festive magic with the reveal of the North Pole Nook, a pop-up holiday cabana designed for families and friends looking for the ultimate winter escape—right here in Orlando, Florida!

Transformed from the beloved VIP Cabana, the North Pole Nook is an explosion of Christmas cheer, fully decked out with cozy décor, sparkling lights, and all the seasonal treats you could wish for. Guests can reserve the cabana for the day, creating their own private holiday retreat.

Located just behind the main row of cabanas along the peaceful Wekiva River canal, the North Pole Nook boasts a large sandy area perfect for lounging or playing by the water. The water here is shallow and calm, making it a safe and fun environment for all ages to enjoy a true Florida riverside experience.

Wekiva Island’s North Pole Nook holiday pop-up is available from Nov. 21 until Dec. 31.

North Pole Nook Highlights

Spacious 12×24 cabana comfortably seating up to 25 guests, featuring festive décor, three comfy couches, cozy throw blankets, holiday pillows, and multiple Christmas trees.
Fire pit area with chairs and s’mores kits for a classic winter treat.
Beverage bar featuring Barnie’s Coffee for adults, hot cocoa for kids of all ages, and fun add-ins like “Jingle Mints,” “Caramel Kringles,” and “Reindeer Kisses.”
Beverage fridge stocked with non-alcoholic drinks, including six bottles of water.
Gas grill and summer kitchen to cook up a holiday feast, or pair with bites from Wekiva Island’s onsite food truck, Without a Paddle Café.

Guests will also enjoy all the magic of Wekiva Island’s Winter Wonderland, featuring dazzling lights, the Christmas Tree Forest, daily snow flurries, and access to Santa’s Workshop for unforgettable holiday experiences.

Have a group larger than 25? Our North Pole Nook pairs well with our Canoe Cabana. They are located right next to each other with a shared space and are perfect for corporate holiday parties or big families!

Booking Instructions

Please select your desired date, ensuring it’s the correct day for your booking. Then, choose the time and event type (Personal or Corporate) to complete your reservation.

Planning Your Visit

Rental period: We have two rental options for our North Pole Nook. Daytime rentals are from 8am until 5pm. Evening rentals are from 6pm until 11pm.
Wristbands: You’ll receive 25 wristbands granting your group private access to this exclusive space. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, guests without wristbands will be kindly asked to leave the cabana area.
Parking: Your Cabana includes three (3) reserved and marked parking spots for the day. Any additional guests should plan to park on-site, as parking fills up quickly. We encourage carpooling, when possible, to make the most of the space.

Restrictions to Keep in Mind

No outside alcohol: Alcohol is strictly prohibited on Wekiva Island and the Wekiva River. Only non-alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought in.
No catered/delivered food: Feel free to bring food to grill and enjoy, but please note that outside catered or delivered food is not permitted.
No dogs allowed: Dogs are not permitted on Wekiva Island or our vessels.
Decor: To help protect the river, latex balloons, and confetti are not allowed. Additionally, please refrain from using tape on signs or displays inside the cabana.

Cancellation Policy

Once booked, Wekiva Island does not offer full refunds for Cabana cancellations. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance are subject to a 20% fee, as this allows us to resell the cabana. Cancellations within 24 hours of the rental date will incur a 50% fee. If you reschedule your event to a future date, there are no penalties or expiration dates.
