A popular rental spot is “The Point,” and it has a 15’ x 16’ deck with a picnic table and wraps the corner of our property. This spot does not have a traditional canopy on it like the other Cabanas, but does have a 10′ rectangular umbrella. It sits on the very corner of the Wekiva River and the Sweetwater Canal, and it has its own grill.
The Point has outdoor patio furniture that consists of a picnic table, chair, couch, and two Adirondack chairs. There is enough seating for 13 guests, with a maximum capacity of 15. You will receive 15 wristbands for your group to access the cabana. To maintain a pleasant experience for all guests, anyone without a wristband in the Cabana area will be kindly asked to leave.
This is the only location on Wekiva Island where pop-up tents are permitted.
This Cabana comes with a cooler with ice and six bottles of water and a grill. While you’re welcome to bring food to grill, please note that outside catered or delivered food is not allowed.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited on Wekiva Island and the Wekiva River. Only non-alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought in.
Dogs are not permitted on Wekiva Island or our vessels.

Parking: Your Cabana includes two reserved and marked parking spots for the day. Any additional guests should plan to park on-site, as parking fills up quickly—typically by 9 AM in peak season (March 1 – September 30) —once the lot reaches capacity. We encourage carpooling, when possible, to make the most of the space.
Decor: To help protect the river, latex balloons, and confetti are not allowed. Additionally, please refrain from using tape on signs or displays inside the Cabana.
All Cabana parties should be started BY 9 am on weekends from March through September to ensure your invited guests will be able to enter Wekiva Island as our parking lot fills early on weekends during peak season.
Booking Instructions
Please select your desired date, ensuring it’s the correct day for your booking. Then, choose the time and event type (Personal or Corporate) to complete your reservation.
All rentals are available from our gate opening at 8 AM until 5 PM. You’re welcome to access your reserved cabana or event space during these hours. Please note that special events may extend beyond 5 PM, but any such requests must be approved by your Leisure or Corporate representative.
To ensure your guests can enter Wekiva Island, all Cabana and rental space events should begin by 9 AM on weekends from March through September. Our parking lot fills up quickly during peak season, and there are no exceptions if you want all of your guests to be able to park and attend.
Cancellation Policy
Once booked, Wekiva Island does not offer full refunds for Cabana cancellations. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance are subject to a 20% fee, as this allows us to resell the cabana. Cancellations within 24 hours of the rental date will incur a 50% fee. If you reschedule your event to a future date, there are no penalties or expiration dates.
