This October, step into Cypress Coven Cove, a haunted pop-up cabana where the legend of the Swamp Spell Society comes to life.
Hidden beneath the cypress trees along the Wekiva River, this eerie riverside retreat transforms our Canoe Cabana into a mysterious gathering place filled with witchcraft, folklore, old Florida ghost stories, and plenty of Halloween magic. Inspired by the legend of witches who vowed to protect the Wekiva River, Cypress Coven Cove is the perfect place to gather your coven, celebrate Halloween, and spend a day somewhere a little out of the ordinary.
From Spanish moss and glowing violet lanterns to floating candles, spell books, potion bottles, Victorian mirrors, skulls, and other haunting relics, every corner of the cabana is designed to feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret gathering deep in the Florida wilderness.
Bring your friends, family, or favorite coven and settle into this spooky-yet-cozy riverside escape. Grill up your own feast, grab food and drinks from Without a Paddle Café and The Tooting Otter Bar, share ghost stories, or simply relax and enjoy the river while surrounded by Halloween décor.
Cypress Coven Cove is available Oct. 1 through Oct. 31.

Restrictions to Keep in Mind
- No outside alcohol: Alcohol is strictly prohibited on Wekiva Island and the Wekiva River. Only non-alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought in.
- No catered/delivered food: Feel free to bring food to grill and enjoy, but please note that outside catered or delivered food is not permitted.
- No dogs allowed: Dogs are not permitted on Wekiva Island or our vessels.
- Decor: To help protect the river, latex balloons, and confetti are not allowed. Additionally, please refrain from using tape on signs or displays inside the cabana.
Cancellation Policy
Once booked, Wekiva Island does not offer full refunds for Cabana cancellations. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance are subject to a 20% fee, as this allows us to resell the cabana. Cancellations within 24 hours of the rental date will incur a 50% fee. If you reschedule your event to a future date, there are no penalties or expiration dates.
